Discover different islands in the Antilles on Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise

The Dominican city of Santo Domingo and the Lesser Antilles islands of Saint Kitts, Guadalupe, Antigua and Saint Lucia are the destinations that you can visit on Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise. With the exception of the Dominican Republic, the remaining stops of this Pullmantur cruise are found in the islands that separate the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea.

Santo Domingo's Macao Beach, Guadalupe's Grand-Cul-de-Sac Marin Nature Reserve and Antigua's Mount Obama are just some of the Caribbean landscapes that you can visit on Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise. Over the course of 8 days and 7 nights you can admire nature and photograph monuments in Santo Domingo, Basseterre (the capital of Saint Kitts), Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe), St John (Antigua) or Castries (St. Lucia).

Along the way you'll see exceptional examples of the area's architectural heritage, including the Conde de Santo Domingo Fortress, where you can see sights like the Mercy Gate, the Count's Gate and Fort Conception; the Basilica-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, an important example of Saint Lucia's colonial religious architecture or the Saint John Perse Museum in Guadeloupe.

The Colonial City of Santo Domingo, a key reason to travel to the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, the place where Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise begins, boasts the oldest cathedral on the American continent, the Cathedral-Basilica of Santa María de la Encarnación. Also known as America's Prime Cathedral, it fuses Gothic and Plateresque architecture. This Catholic temple is located in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, the area where the most famous monuments in the city are located.

Other outstanding buildings in this part of the capital of the Dominican Republica ---a UNESCO World Heritage Site--- include the aforementioned El Conde Fortess, the Ozama Fortress (which is the oldest in America), or the "El Tapado" House. Outside the Colonial City one can visit the Atarazanas Naval Museum or Juan Dolio beach, which are also key pieces of tourism in Santo Domingo.

From all that is to be seen in Basseterre, Independence Square, Orthogonal Circus and Fort Brimstone Hill, which dates back to 1690, are all worth mentioning. At Independence Square you can photograph the Cathedral of the Immaculate Concepction, an outstanding example of the neo-Gothic architecture of Saint Kitts. Another key religious building is St. George's Anglican Church.

Discover the landscapes of Antigua and Saint Lucia when traveling to the Caribbean

In addition to touring the cities of Santo Domingo and Saint Kitts, with Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise you can also visit Guadalupe's archipelago, one of the main tourist destinations in the French Antilles. Of all the tourist attractions that can be found here, the most important ones are undoubtedly Gosier or Sainte-Anne, the best beaches in Guadeloupe. This archipelago is composed of five islands: Basse-Terre, Grande-Terre, La Désirade, Les Saintes and Marie-Galante.

On the island of Antigua, another stop on this Pullmantur cruise, you'll can take in diverse Caribbean landscapes, such as Carpenter's Rock and Shirley Heights, which is full of dramatic cliffs. While sightseeing in Antigua, you'll also have the opportunity to dive and snorkel at Stoney Ground Marine Park, Deep Sandy and Dog Island. Antigua, named after the Virgin of the same name in the Cathedral of Seville, also boasts outstanding monuments, including the Government Palace, an outstanding example of the colonial architecture of the Lesser Antilles, and the James Fort.

When traveling to Saint Lucia on Pullmantur's Caribbean Islands and Saint Lucia Cruise you'll be provided with a great opportunity to see the Pitons Mountains. This UNESCO site is located to the south of Soufrière and next to Mount Gimie (the highest peak in the nation), and they are a key part of Saint Lucia's natural landscape. While on the island, don't miss out on seeing the Public Library and the colonial buildings on Brazil Street in Castries.
