Barcelona Visit

  • Adult price:42 €
  • Child price:29 €
  • Infant price:Free
  • Approximate duration:3 h 30 m

BarcelonaThis excursion gives you the chance to see the very best of Barcelona, explore the Gothic Quarter and spend some free time shopping for any last minute gifts. We will call at one of the city's most well-known symbols, La Sagrada Familia, for a chance to take some photographs. Work began on the construction of this sanctuary of a thousand needles over 100 years ago and is still on-going today. Since the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the temple has become an emblem of the city and an ecclesiastical tribute to its architect Antonio Guadi. Our tour continues on foot through the narrow streets of the medieval Gothic Quarter, with its incredible atmosphere and wealth of historic buildings. We will visit the Gothic Cathedral which was built between 1298 and 1450 upon the remains of a Roman temple dedicated to Hercules and which has an interior adorned with columns and stained glass dating back to the middle ages. Before we make our way back to the port, we will have time to admire some of the city's most important modernist buildings along Paseo de Gràcia, the memorial to Christopher Columbus and the Plaza Cataluña, as well as a journey along Avenida de la Diagonal and Avenida de Josep Tarradellas. The coach will then climb to Montjuïc, passing by the Stadium and Olympic Ring from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. On completing our sightseeing tour we will make our way back to the port.
* Includes sightseeing tour by coach

Barcelona & Gaudi

  • Child price:32 €
  • Infant price:Free
  • Approximate duration:3 h 30 m

BarcelonaAfter departing from the port our first stop will be the famous barrio de Born with its cathedral Santa Maria del Mar. We will have the opportunity to walk along its streets and visit this magnificent Gothic cathedral. On returning to the coach we can enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city as we make our way to La Sagrada Familia (tour of the exterior), Gaudi's most emblematic work (still unfinished) and the finest example of his genius, a building which has today become a symbol of Barcelona around the world. We then continue on our tour to see both Casa Batlló and La Pedrera from outside. Both buildings were designed by Gaudi within a few years of each other. They are both in the same street and share some of the characteristic traits of Guadi's architecture such as the undulating façades and the protruding windows. Before returning to the port we will take in the sights of Montjuïc.
* This excursion is not recommended for persons with physical limitations or those who have difficulty walking.
