Old City and Palace of the Grand Masters
We will climb up to the Mount Smith or Mount Agios Stefanos, where the Acropolis was located, and where we will see a stadium from the 3rd century BC and a small theatre both of which have been completely restored. We will start our visit through medieval Rhodes and its fortress walls from the 15th and 16th centuries. By entering one of the five doorways in the wall we can take a stroll through the fascinating old town full with buildings from the 15th century, little paved streets with arches and small shops. We will visit the palace of the Great Master and go shopping in Socrates Street, which acts as the island's bazaar.
